ONISE TSERTSVADZE

Onise Tsertsvadze is one of the leading and most experienced ophthalmic surgeons in Georgia. Since 2004, he has been practicing at New Sight Eye Clinic, where he currently serves as Head of the Cataract Department. Throughout his extensive career, he has performed nearly 30,000 microsurgical procedures, earning him a distinguished reputation among both medical professionals and patients.

He received his medical education at Tbilisi State Medical University (1994–2001), graduating with honors from the Faculty of Medicine with a red diploma and qualifying as a general practitioner. He continued his professional training at the Saint Petersburg Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (2002–2004), where he successfully completed a clinical residency in ophthalmology.

As a result of his continuous professional development and scientific work, in 2021, Dr. Tsertsvadze defended his doctoral dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of ophthalmic microsurgery, including innovative laser technologies and modern treatment techniques, providing patients with the highest standards of safety and clinical outcomes.

Since 2022, Doctor of Medical Sciences Onise Tsertsvadze has served as a member of the Board of the Georgian Ophthalmological Association.
